Patagonia's Artifishal is a film which follows the wild salmon's slide towards extinction, highlighting the threats posed by fish hatcheries and fish farms not only to the salmon, but to the communities that depend on them.
The film also documents how open net fish farms are threatening other species such as sea trout and Arctic char, and how governments are not doing enough to address the problem. Instead the fishing industry is set to expand exponentially in the pristine fjords of Iceland and continues to grow at alarming rates around Norway, Scotland and Ireland.
