Penfield AW23 Is In The House

Penfield is a brand many ought to be familiar with. Founded in 1975 in New England, Penfield are best known for outerwear such as jackets, shirts and fleeces. A few people may recognise the brand from Maine Road ’96, when a certain Gallagher brother wore one of their jackets on stage.

Remember that Tenacious D album ‘The Pick of Destiny’? Well this is sort of similar, apart from it’s not an album and, well, in fact, not at all related. This was just a picnic. The Picnic of Destiny though.

Sitting by our favourite body of water, we were well-equipped with chairs, snacks, clothes and good vibes. We opted for insulation and a few layers, as up north, we’ve seen a temperature drop which has almost made me retire the shorts. These northern legs aren’t done yet.

The Bowerbridge is an insulated jacket which features a removable hood, a DWR coating and is built from a 60/40, cotton/nylon blend. We also took the Padded Bomber, which as the name suggests, is a padded bomber jacket.

Much like the Bowerbridge, this jacket is also a 60/40 blend and is finished off with a DWR coating. The final jacket I’d like to waffle about is the Kasson Jacket. This parka-style jacket is again, made from a 60/40, cotton/nylon blend and features four patch pockets.

Once we’d finished admiring the scenery, we decided to climb a tree and finish the snacks and booze. Must remember a bottle opener next time.
