Specializing in hard wearing products that are both comfortable and stylish, Makia were established in 2001 in the dock worker area of Helsinki, Finland. Their lighthouse logo is Helsinki harbour's very own Harmaja lighthouse for a bit of pride and roots in their design. Their clothing is designed to endure the rough weather of the north so we feel they fit in well with us being based in the Lake District which didn't get the name from being dry and sunny all the time.
