Karhu’s story began just over a century ago when a small workshop was set up in downtown Helsinki by Ab Sportartiklar Oy. The workshop’s first product was sports equipment such as javelins and skis made from locally sourced birch. 4 years later, the brand changes their name to Karhu – Finnish for ‘Bear’.

Following on from last week’s photoshoot, our footwear of choice for that faithful day was Karhu. When it comes to trainers, we believe in a few things; comfort, design and quality.

When we talk about Karhu, I can safely say that they have nailed the holy trinity. The Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Quietly taking over the trainer (or sneaker, if you’re that way inclined) world, Karhu boasts a range of comfortable and colourful shoes, which we here at WCH are loving.
The Fusion 2.0 is quite possibly the most popular style from the Flying Finns, so it’d be silly of us not to include a pair in this week’s campaign.

We also decided to throw in a dark horse – the Legacy 96. With teals, pinks and browns running through each of these silhouettes, these retro-looking trainers really will help you cross the Finnish-line.
