It’s been a little while, but it’s time for another update on our work with 1% For The Planet. We’ve spent the last few years donating 1% of all our Patagonia revenue towards restoring some of Cumbria’s ancient woodlands.

Previously we’ve bashed bracken as it puts other flora at risk, put fences up to keep deer out, planted new and diverse trees, and bashed bracken a few more times.

Our latest update, removing large, old and dead trees to allow the new healthy plants a higher chance of success, with more space to grow.

It took a little bit of hard work, a bit of muscle work – possibly the manliest we’ve ever felt, not that that’s much of an achievement.

It all culminated with a bit of produce as well, with the good people at Cumbria Woodlands turning to felled trees into charcoal. A little Christmassy treat at the end.
