One of the newest silhouettes to join New Balance’s ranks is the RC30, blending some low-profile 1970’s heritage with some bold modern updates, with a twisted outsole and a blend of suede and nylon in the uppers.
We personally can’t put our finger on the vibe, but we know that we like it. Astroturf Blokecore, perhaps?
To put them to the test we tried a walk around High Dam Tarn, but we barely even made it up. The UK meltdown made any energy exertion a little tricky (and sticky).
Best off taking it slow before landing in the shadiest corner of a beer garden. Stay cool, everyone.
The latest offering from NB also includes classics from the Made In UK collection, the chunky but funky 9060 and I’m sure at some point we’ll be throwing up some 550s. Keep your eyes peeled for that one.
