If you’ve ever been outside, this probably isn’t the most radical introduction you’ve ever had – the American outdoor powerhouse that is Merrell has been kicking since the early ’80s, and the Merrell 1TRL collection is a modern take on their heritage, with the Moab silhouette leading the way.

The chunky trail runner comes with a fully waterproof GORE-TEX membrane and a Vibram Megagrip tread, with a shock-absorbent Float Pro midsole sitting in-between.

Alongside Merrell, a WCH favourite from the other side of the world, Korean outerwear label FrizmWORKS. With some boxy mountain parka silhouettes they’re pretty well suited for this weird dip in the weather we’re having.

Ah, a torrential spring.
