Klattermusen began as a campfire conversation during a caving trip in Norway. During his paternity leave with his first child, founder Peter Askulv had got into the hobby of sewing his own bags. These bags were so good that his friends with whom he was travelling with all bought themselves one. This support was what lit the flame of Klattermusen.
Since its foundings in 1984, Klattermusen has made sure to remain small so to maintain a certain level of quality and care with their business, whilst making a huge name for themselves in the outdoor markets. Peter was and still is an avid climber and biologist, and so his ranges reflect his passion for alfresco activities. Signature technical jackets and bags are both heavily resistant as well as rocking some modern, Scandinavian contemporary fashion. The name is a translation to Climbing Mouse, and I for one think that's precious.
