Seattle 1993 - A gentleman by the name of Barry Barr, the founder of KAVU, was selling the revolutionary Strapcap out of his car until 1996, Barr moved the brand into a warehouse - his car appreciated the rest.
5 years later KAVU opened up its first store in the Ballard neighbourhood of Seattle and since 2018 has traded out of its 2 stores and grown like wildfire online. Today the Strapcap is a straight-up classic along with the Rope bag, and crazy patterned fleeces inspired by nature.
