Hoka

Hoka running shoes are named after the Maori language phrase which loosely means 'fly over the earth'

Founded in France in 2009 by Nicolas Mermoud and Jean-Luc David, Hoka was originally embraced by ultramarathon runners however they very quickly became popular with all types of runners due to the cushioning and minimal weight. The Hoka running shoes, which provided more cushioning from the oversized outsole than any other running shoe on the market at the time, were created when the founders decided they wanted to design a shoe that would allow them to run faster downhill.
In 2016, team Trail Hoka was the first team to win the UTMB (Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc) in both men’s and women’s categories, this was a consecration for the brand, which then enjoyed the best possible confirmation of the quality of their pairs.
