Every now and then, you’ve just got to climb something stupid.

Remember a month ago when we took some of Salomon’s XT-6 trainers up a fell to see how they’d hold up? Well, they did great, but as Lake District dwellers, we weren’t quite satisfied with how hard we worked them.

Comfy? Absolutely, but we wanted to test out their stability and grip, so we did one of the stupidest climbs you can do in the Lakes, in some of the stupidest weather. Blencathra, Sharp Edge, in pretty torrential rain and fog.

Excuse the Wild Fit. Gramicci, if anyone’s interested.

No one fell to a gruesome end; in fact, it was actually quite fun. Only a few minor slips, enough to make us feel alive, but we stayed on our feet and reached the summit.

Look at the Grip on that
Yeah no worries, check that email.

We aren’t going to show you any pictures of us on the summit though. Again, fog.
