If you cast your mind back to September of last year, you might remember our marketing on Finnish sportswear brand, Karhu. Well, we’re back again with a vengeance to showcase our favourite styles of the SS24 delivery.
Karhu, best known for the Fusion 2.0 silhouette, produces a range of amazing and super comfortable footwear, which we here at WCH have been a fan of for multiple seasons. I myself have around 5 pairs which are constantly called into battle and thrown into my rotation.
The retro-inspired runners are absolutely perfect for everyday wearing and can handle mile after mile, so if you’re looking for a new style to serve you like a trusty steed, then look no further.
Tom decided on a pair of the Legacy 96 Shoes in Whitecap Grey Silver Lining. First introduced in 1996, the Legacy 96 shoe carries some of its original features through to today such as the shock-absorbent EVA midsole for a comfortable fit. They’re made from a mesh and suede upper and feature a padded heel, along with a grippy rubber tread.
I went for the Fusion 2.0 ‘Flow State’ Shoes in Lily White Surf Spray. The Fusion 2.0 is a tribute to the OG 1996 silhouette model of the same name. This particular Fusion is made using lightweight and breathable mesh, leather and suede overlays and features reflective detailing.
Fun fact for y’all – Karhu originally registered the 3 stripe logo to their name and then sold it to a very famous German sportswear brand for two bottles of whiskey and roughly €1600 in today’s money.
