This year marks our tenth birthday, we have learned a lot along the way…including how to throw a party!
On the 12th of November we will be taking over the Sun Inn of Ulverston to do what we do best which is of course partying, drinking beer and having fun.
We've teamed up with Hospital Records to present a special DJ Set from one of the top Drum + Bass artists in the world, Nu:Tone. In addition to Nu:Tone, Jon Byrne takes the upstairs plus there's sets from Dave 'Monster Monster' Crossley, Tom Povey, Robbie Gallagher and Jon Tinning. It's a complete top-to-bottom take-over of The Sun and it's going to be rad.
The event is open so feel free to bring some pals along with you, there's rules, though ... you and anyone you bring along has to be the lawful, beer-swilling age of 18 or over. There's no exceptions to that, sorry.
It is free of charge so you only need beer money.
To many, a 10 Year Anniversary might seem a bit of a non event, just a way to sell more t-shirts. It's a fair point and I sincerely hope we will sell more next week. Check out the collab with Deus, for example. Absolute winner. But there's a bit more to it than that.
We want to say thanks for the love we have received over the past decade. We mean it. Thank You.
We are compelled to do things our way ... D.I.Y. Punk Spirit. To forge that path takes a lot of sweat, beers and tears, more often than we would care to mention. It becomes all consuming. It’s no hardship for the five of us involved - we’re given the indulgence by loved ones to submerse ourselves in something we have such a passion for. Those around us make a sacrifice, too, as they lose us into the world of Working Class Heroes. To all of you, you know who you are ... thank you.
To every rep that puts up with our shit, every brand that supports us, every delivery driver, the postmen and women that we drive insane, all at Citrus-Lime, every customer that spends hard earned cash, the few we lost along the way, from the bottom of my heart, I have nothing but love. To the next ten ... Tom.
