We are moving shops…

… and it’s a lot of hard work! For a while now we have all felt that our current location, though lovely, was feeling a little too small. So when when the opportunity arose, we made the decision to move a whopping 200 yards up the road, into a building that used to be our busy town’s Blockbusters.
With the help of some old friends and some hard working staff to keep the business moving as usual we are well on the way and are looking to be settling in in around 6 weeks time.
The first job on hand was for our long serving joiner, Steve Smith, who ripped up the 1980’s style blue carpet tiles to reveal a floor pasted in an inch layer of adhesive, he still has more work to do for us, but so far, the transformation of the floor has been amazing. All the walls were plastered so our rum drinking session partner, Joe Ryan, could get to work painting the entire interior, his next job being the outside. The electrics were mostly routed above a fake ceiling which we immediately pulled down to reveal our lovely high ceiling, this caused a bit of an issue with safety, so Exel Electrical services quickly sorted that for us.
That’s about where we are up to, we do have some cool furnishings on the way and it’s going to look pretty special. So, keep your eyes peeled, we are going to have a lot more stuff!
I’ll write some more next week.
Yours truly,
Rob – Recovering shoulder smasher and alcoholic
