Working Class Heroes was set up in 2006 with a mission to sell select men's street wear from around the globe to the good people of Ulverston, Cumbria. We still hold this close to our hearts but now aim to reach slightly further a field with our website.

We are not a massive corporate site. We are not owned by a group of executive directors that have little contact with customers. We order stock, photograph it, pack it and then dispatch it. We are here to deal with your enquiries, feedback and provide you with a personal service ensuring that you get the products you want on time every time.

If you call the shop you will speak to Tom, Rob, Adam or Edd. Let us know what you think, because we care!

Polar have teamed up with Carhartt WIP to bring you a one off collection of Apparel & Accessories which includes four new graphic Tees, two colours in a long sleeved denim Shirt, navy and black quilted Gillet  (round these part we call them body warmers) and four new Board graphics. With each garment being tailored to meet the highest standards of quality, durability and comfort this range features some amazing technology such as Water Repellent Cotton, 3M Thinsulate Insulation, 6oz and 12oz denim, 12 gauge Cotton & Merino Wool beanie hat with premium leather and suede detailing.

Delivery of the Polar and Carhartt WIP is set for end of August. Quite a wait ahead but thought you might like a heads up!!

The man behind Polar Skate Co. is a Mr.Pontus Alv. He has been a Carhartt WIP team rider for over a decade and likes do do things a little differently then the rest of the skate professional fraternity. Pontus left his board sponsors' and went alone forging a slightly different path in skate.

This path saw the release of his first cult classic in 2005 ‘Strongest Of The Strange’ followed by his later film ‘In Search Of The Miraculous’. These films centred around Pontus’ skate scene with a focus on DIY park building. From here Pontus had a great platform to launch Polar Skate Co. which takes direction from 80’s graphics and DIY spot building.

With the  Pontus and Carhartt WIP relationship going strong it is not to hard to see how this great collab came to be.
