At Working Class Heroes we have two winter essential beanies from The North Face Heritage, the Salty Dog beanie and the Shipyard beanie. North Face have been around since 1968 and they have definitely got themselves out there into the outdoor clothing world. The Shipyard beanie is their shallow fitting, head warming tool. The shallow fit of this hat is inspired by fishermen and dock worker’s hats from years ago, but we don’t expect all you 2k14er’s to wear this while you’re bringing the fishing nets in. It’s 70% acrylic and 30% wool so there isn’t a lack of insulation or comfort. Let’s talk colours, it comes in Olive, British Khaki and Cosmic Blue. The turn up cuff also has a kool with a k vintage North Face Heritage label; so all your mates know it’s not just a hat…it’s a North Face Hat.
Shipyard’s brother, Salty Dog is a similar beanie, but has a few different qualities. The Salty Dog has marled colours unlike the shipyard. Why is it called Salty Dog? The only reason I can think for it being called that is salt from the sea getting on your hat when at the docks, but that’s just my guess. This time the beanie is 100% Acrylic. The mid depth on the Salty Dog leaves it fitting snug around your noggin. This beanie comes in red, valencia orange, cosmic blue, graphite grey and black.

I bid you my farewell friends, Jake.
