Launched in 1989 Carhartt has been providing the highest quality workwear and outdoor apparel. Based in the US, Carhartt Work In Progress (WIP) are arguably one of the most famous workwear brands in the world.
Carhartt first came to light in 1889 when Hamilton Carhart started to produce workwear clothing for the industries in and around Michigan.Mr Hamilton was a businessman and was keen to make a product that stood out from the rest. He even added an extra 't' to the end of his name, which differed from other people with the same surname. The aim of the game was not to produce the cheapest but to produce the best workwear that would outlast others. The WIP range was founded in Europe in 1989 and still has the same aim of being the best gear in the market.
