La Paz Jacket

The North Face La Paz jacket and vest takes its name from the city of La Paz in the Bolivian mountains. A vibrant city with a growing population of one million La Paz has an extremely varied climate considering its small area. This variation in temperature comes about due to the multiple altitude zones the city spans. The La Paz city centre sits at 3650 meters above sea level whilst the outer limits sit at 4082. This gives raise to average temperatures of 15c and 5c respectively, so quite a change in temp.

You would need one hell of a jacket to cope with that temp variation, bearing in mind those figures are just averages, day to day temps can vary from 15C to -15c

Well The North Face have done just that! The La Paz jacket and vest have been designed to cope. The 600 down filled jacket are extremely good at keeping you warm if worm on the outside of a t shirt or jumper. Stick an outer waterproof or winderproof over the top and the La Paz becomes a supreme mid layer offering warmth in the most brutal conditions.

The body warmer also contains 600 down fill, 100 less then the Nupste vest, so it will keep you warm but not too warm. Being a vest the La Paz gillet is excellent at regulating body temperature allowing excess heat to escape via the arm opening but trapping the required heat where it is needed next to the body.

Let's not forget the obvious, these jackets and body warmers look sick! With a hi sheen finish stand out from the Nuptse Gillet crowed with one of these. Play it safe with the all black, flow some street wear vibes and colour with the bolt blue, or sport our favourite the Noah green. Who would of though orange and green would go together!!
