Millican Fraser 25L Rucksack
We're incredibly excited to accounce that we are now working with Millican - a company dedicated to creating the finest outdoor equipment for conscious travellers. The quality they provide in their products is the same quality we look for in our service, so naturally we were excited to go into business with them. Tom, Rob and Edd went to their headquarters at Skiddaw near Keswick only 38 miles away from us on a tranquil drive through the Lake District to learn more about them. Looking past the insanely beautiful views from their office windows, the team working behind the scenes are friendly and hardworking and go through vigorous checks to ensure that all of their bags are of the highest quality before releasing them into the world.
Inspired by Millican Dalton, a free-spirited man who left his life in London behind the explore the Lakes, Millican make their bags based on his philosophy and princibals on simplicity. Jorrit and Nicky, the co-founders of Millican, met in the early 90s in South America and travelled together before deciding to hang up their travelling bags, and make them for others instead.
Enough about the company and let's talk about this bag. The Fraser rucksack is made from Bionic Canvas - highly weatherproof to keep the contents safe and strong to protect itself from the wear and tear of travels. A large day-to-day bag, the 25 litre capacity can fit more than you'd expect. On the front it features two thin pcokets with a buckle opening for easy access to your every day items. On the rear it has a medium sized pocket on one side for other important items and on the other side a larger zip pocket for your laptop, tablets, and any other electronics you'd like to keep safe.
To access the main compartment you unbuckle it and then it has a drawer cord for extra protection. Inside you'll find find smaller compartments for organisation and the large majority area of the space to keep your clothes, jackets, spare shoes and whatever else you need for your travels. Personally I'd just fill it with sweets because I'm apparently still a child, although in my experience of on-foot-travelling Kendal Mint Cake is extremely useful. Jackets are useful too I guess.
To finish it all off it comes with aluminium hardware to finalise the ideal that quality materials pay off, and it brandishes the Millican logo accross the front in a simple colour scheme. Very proud to work with them, though not so much that we aren't still cool and collected.
